Jason D. Hill, PSM

Survey Project Manager

Jason Hill has 22 years of experience in surveying and mapping, working primarily on Florida Department of Transportation projects for the past 15 years. His experience encompasses: design surveys; right-of-way surveys; horizontal and vertical control surveys, topographic surveys; including utilization of electronic field book; jurisdictional delineation; and geodetic and construction surveying. As a Project Manager he has the responsibility of managing multiple projects, ensuring detailed attention and quality assurance to each one. His duties include: client contact; scheduling, manpower allocation; quality control and project budgets.

Mr. Hill has worked with various city and county governments, the Florida Department of Transportation, and a variety of private sector clients.

Mr. Hill specializes in the overall supervision and production of FDOT topographic design surveys.

Key Projects

Leon County/City of Tallahassee Stormwater Infrastructure Inventory Map, Phase 2, 2011, Woolpert, Tallahassee, FL: Mr. Hill is the Project Manager for this project which consists of sixteen areas covering twenty-five square miles, which require location, identification and mapping of stormwater infrastructure. This is the second phase of a complete city-wide stormwater infrastructure inventory mapping project of the City of Tallahassee’s stormwater WFR.

FDOT 3 Bellview & Bauer Bridge in Escambia County: For this project 3DS provided surveying and mapping services for design and construction for Bridge replacement. These services included an topographic survey and preparing a Control Survey map.

City of Tallahassee/Blueprint 2000 Capital Circle NW/SW: Mr. Hill provided surveying services for the full topographic design survey of 250 feet of existing and proposed right-of-way along with complete right-of-way mapping for acquisition along the entire corridor from 500 feet south of Tennessee Street to Orange Avenue in Leon County, Florida. This project also includes wetlands and boundary surveys for several pond sites along the corridor.

Southwest Florida International Airport Topography Runway 6-24, Hole Montes, Inc., Fort Myers, FL: performed a Topographic Survey for the South West Florida International Airport Runway 6-24.

FDOT1, Homestead Road Widening, HDR Engineering, Inc., Lehigh Acres, FL: Mr. Hill provided surveying services for the widening of Homestead Road, including 16 GPS control points, project alignment, 9 benchmarks with 3 miles of levels, topographic and right-of-way surveying, six side streets extending 300' from centerline, cross section canals, location of borings and two pond sites.

FDOT1, I-75 Design Build Finance Project, HDR Engineering, Inc., Fort Myers, FL: Mr. Hill provided surveying support along 31 miles of I-75. Services included integrating new topography into five different design projects and being on call for support as-needed.

FDOT1, SR 739 from Martin Luther King to First Street, Fort Myers, FL: Mr. Hill provided surveying and mapping services for design and construction of the road resurfacing project. The area surveyed was .5 miles in Lee County. Services included: geodetic base line control, secondary controls; alignment staked at 500' intervals; reference points at 1000' intervals, pits and curves; Bench levels set and BM draft forms at 1000' intervals; prepared topographic Digital Terrain Model from right-of-way to right-of-way; field review, edits and provided QA/QC.

Lee County Koreshan Boulevard Extension, PBS&J, Fort Myers, FL: Project Manager for Drainage survey for approximately 1.5 miles of roadway along Koreshan Boulevard from Three Oaks Parkway to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, setting horizontal and vertical control points to establish baselines for cross sections using (GPS) and location of culverts and ditch intersections.

Lee County Bonita Beach Road Sidewalk from I-75 to Bonita Grande Drive, Pitman-Hartenstein & Associates, Inc., Bonita Springs, FL: provided a topographic survey and design services for an eight foot sidewalk on the south side of Bonita Beach Road.

Southwest Florida International Airport Topography Runway 6-24, Hole Montes, Inc., Fort Myers, FL: performed a Topographic Survey for the South West Florida International Airport Runway 6-24.

FDOT1, SR 80 from Park Avenue to West of Michigan Avenue Surveying Services, Fort Myers, FL: provided Surveying Services on SR 80 from Park Avenue to West of Michigan Avenue. As Project Manager for this resurfacing/design project, Mr. Hill was responsible for the estimation of man-hours, records research, field crew coordination, reestablishment of alignments, reference points, vertical control and data collection using EFB.
